Our 8 pound pails are packed into safe plastic containers that do not contain PVC (Polyvinyl chloride) or BPA (Bisphenol A). There is a number on the bottom of most plastic containers. Avoid eating or drinking anything that has come into contact with numbers 3, 6, and 7.
A note from our supplier: Raw Status
As required by law, our California almonds do go through a flash pasteurization process, where the outer part of the almond is flash steamed for just a couple of seconds. That heat does not penetrate the inside of the almond. It’s not nearly enough time to do so. The inner part of the almond is not affected by this process and it maintains the nutritional value and raw status.
