The Agave Salmiana Plant (agave salmiana)
A massive and beautiful Agave from the Mexican states of Guanajuato,
Oaxaca and Puebla that forms a dense and very neat rosette of wide,
dark green to gray green leaves. Mature plants can get to 3 m (10 ft.) tall. Its fibers can be used as a great exfoliator in various products such as washcloths and body brushes. Its nectar, which comes from the core of the plant, has a very sweet taste, and is great in place of all standard processed sugars, with a very low glycemic index.
