Our Vanilla Powder is 100% Organic, Raw, and Vegan with fair trade growing and harvesting procedures from India. Love Street's Organic, Pure Ground Vanilla is made by grinding the whole vanilla pod into a fine powder. This is not the same as many other Vanilla Powders, which are a combination of sugar or dextrose and ground vanilla or vanilla extract.  Naturally high in antioxidants, Vanilla Powder is something no kitchen should be without!

Features:


Vanilla is one of the oldest and most nutritious spices, it is often considered a stimulant and aphrodisiac as a food and fragrance. The first to cultivate vanilla were the Totonac people, who inhabit the Mazantla Valley on the Gulf Coast of Mexico in the present-day state of Veracruz. According to Totonac mythology, the tropical orchid was born when Princess Xanat, forbidden by her father from marrying a mortal, fled to the forest with her lover. The lovers were captured and beheaded. In the place where their blood touched the ground, the vine of the tropical vanilla orchid grew.

Important Information:
Organic Vanilla Powder can be added to anything for an increase in  flavor, color and texture--but know this: a little goes a long way!  One 1/2 teaspoon of our Pure Ground Vanilla is equivalent to 1 teaspoon of standard vanilla extract or one vanilla bean.  It is wonderful in frozen desserts, homemade chocolate,  smoothies, hot herbal tea, chai, hot chocolate, or any creative experimental dessert.
