How It Is Made
   This brown rice grain is composed of both a bran and endosperm layer (instead of only an endosperm layer), both of which contain protein. The use of both of these layers provides a complete amino acid profile. The 100% Organic Compliant extraction process uses filtration methods like wet milling, sieving, separation, drying and natural enzymes procedure for the actual extraction of protein, which is all-natural. This brown rice protein is a by-product of whole grain brown rice syrup (in order to achieve the amino acid profile). This product has not been heated above 120 degrees Fahrenheit.

How to Use
Add this to smoothies (with berries, Love Street Vanilla Powder, or nut milk/water) for an excellent source of protein--great alternative to whey protein powder.  Also blend with the ingredients above into a thick paste for pudding or freeze for soft ice cream.  Also a great add-in for infant/toddler formulas!

   Clinical studies in Japan have shown that by providing rice protein as a staple in a diet, it can be used as a weight control vehicle—especially because of the superior absorption rates.
   Recent research suggests that diets containing rice protein increase insulin sensitivity and reduce serum and liver cholesterol levels in rats fed a high-fat, high-cholesterol diet.
   Another study suggests rice protein inhibits atherosclerosis, an inflammation of the arterial walls promoted by an excess of bad (LDL) cholesterol.
   One study conducted by Dr. Martin Ronis of the Arkansas Children’s Nutrition Center showed that phytochemicals in rice protein reduce the incidence of chemically induced mammary tumors in the breasts of rats. Another study by Dr. Ronis and colleagues observed reduced bodyweight gain in the offspring of rats fed rice protein as a sole source of protein.
