Pecan oil is an edible pressed oil extracted from the pecan nut.   Sweet, hand cracked, certified organic pecans are pressed over a 40 hour period to insure that minimum heat is generated in the process to give you this nutritious oil.

Origin:  Southern Peru

Benefits: Our organic pecan oil has over 90% unsaturated fatty acids with almost equal components of  monounsaturated (50%) & polyunsaturated (40%) providing a great balance between the two. Pecan oil contains approximately 7% saturated fat, which is less than half the amount contained by olive oil, peanut oil or corn oil. 


Your purchase of this oil insures that above average wages are paid to and the quality of life is improved for farm workers in an economically challenged region of Peru.


Uses: Use it RAW to get maximum nutrient benefits and its high smoke point of 470 degrees makes it ideal for sautéing. Use in salad dressings or as a topping to enhance any dish.  It can also be used as a massage oil.

Storage: For a very long shelf life and to maintain freshness, store Pecan Oil in the refrigerator to avoid heat and light and use the pour spout and use it everyday for healthy gourmet cooking. 

Taste: Like most nut oils, it tastes like the nut from which it was extracted.  The flavor profile is amazing: Sweet, smooth and filled with a subtle pecan essence.

Question: One of the bottles of Pecan Oil is cloudy, and not nice and gold like I expected.  Is it safe to use? 

Answer:  The Oil is safe to use.  The Pecan Oil is non-filtered, virgin and cold-pressed and it is normal for some bottles to appear cloudy.
