 St. John's Wort Supplement SC27 is a unique super-potent extract of St. John’s Wort.  St. John’s Wort is recognized for its ability to safely and naturally support positive emotional health.*  Scientists have extensively studied St. John's Wort to determine which of its components has the ability to modulate or balance brain chemistry.  Scientists have now determined that a class of phytonutrients called "hyperforins" are most responsible for St. John's Wort's beneficial effects.*  This St. John's Wort Supplement SC27 provides a broad spectrum of organically and precisely extracted, highly stable and concentrated hyperforins.

We take nature’s finest herbs and then extract and highly concentrate (as high as 250 to 1) their precious ingredients.  We do not isolate out single ingredients or spike our extracts with synthesized additives.  We deliver the wisdom of nature, with the complexity and organic nuances of the natural herb preserved for you. In fact, our process is the gentlest way to extract these delicate plant compounds in a manner to optimally preserve their potency and stability.

An analysis of 29 clinical trials with more than 5000 patients was conducted by Cochrane Collaboration.  The review concluded that extracts of St. John's wort were superior to placebo in patients with major depression.  St. John's Wort had similar efficacy to standard antidepressants.  The rate of side effects was twice lower than for newer SSRI antidepressants and five times lower than for older tricyclic antidepressants.

Recommended Dosage: The best of all anti-depressants. Take 2 capsules, twice a day for two weeks --works great!  After that, it throws the nervous system out of whack.


Warning: St. John's Wort is not recommended for children or for women who are nursing, pregnant or considering pregnancy.  Although phototoxicity in humans is rare, fair-skinned individuals should avoid excessive exposure to sunlight when using St. John's Wort (Hypericum perforatum).  May potentiate pharmaceutical MAO-inhibitors.  Use of Hypericum perforatum with pharmaceutical antiretrovirals such as protease inhibitors, non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors, and other drugs that are similarly metabolized (such as birth control pills or drugs related to the treatment of HIV), is not recommended and should be done only under the direct supervision of one’s physician.  Other potential side effects may include gastrointestinal symptoms, dizziness, tiredness, and mild allergic reactions (skin rash).
