Half of our daily chlorine exposure comes from showering.
As chlorine is absorbed through the skin, it also vaporizes in the shower, is inhaled into the lungs, and transfers directly into the blood stream.

About Chlorine:
The EPA's guidelines allow public water treatment plants to use up to 4 parts per million (ppm) of chlorine. But this amount, whether people know it or not, is actually very alarming seeing that most pool kits say that water with more then 3 ppm is unsafe to swim in!

Most people worry about chlorine in drinking water, but what's even more dangerous and harmful to your health is showering in it. In fact during a 10-minute shower, your body will in up to 50 times the level of water-borne chemicals (chlorine) than from drinking a glass of the same water. This is because taking a warm/hot shower opens up your pores more, which causes accelerated absorption of chlorine and other chemicals.

What's even worse is the steam you inhale- it's far more contaminated that the water itself because these chemicals vaporize much faster than water. Chlorine that's inhaled goes directly to the bloodstream and has magnified negative effects. And if you can believe it, roughly two-thirds of the harmful effects of chlorine are experienced through inhalation and skin absorption while showering.

Because of the simple fact that we cannot individually control what is used to make and grow our food or what's pumped into the air we breath, IT ONLY MAKES SENSE that we take control over the water we consume! How does this filter work?

Zinc and copper filter the chlorine
